Krystle Casey, soprano


Soprano Krystle Casey has performed as symphonic, oratorio, and operatic soloist in the U.S. and in Austria.   Her most recent operatic roles include Blanche in Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites, Fire, Princess,and Nightingale in Ravel’s L’enfant et les Sortilèges, Nero in Handel’s Agrippina,  Flight Controller in Jonathan Dove’s Flight, and Yetta in Dan Tucker’s The Blue Moose, (libretto by noted author Daniel Pinkwater).  As a concert soloist, she has recently appeared in Requiems by Mozart and Brahms, Orff’s Carmina Burana, Handel’s Messiah, and Haydn’s Missa Brevis.  She will be appearing as a soloist with the L.A. Chamber Orchestra this coming spring.  Ms. Casey, a student of Vladimir Chernov, received her MM in Vocal Performance from UCLA, and her BA in Music from the University of Redlands.  She has performed in the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, is an award recipient of the Leni Fè Bland Foundation, and a recipient of the Mimi Alpert Feldman Scholarship in music.  She is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda international music honor society.
